Thank you so much! I don't think I'm giving anything away if I say that I like to think that in the post-this-story period, things work out to the more universally positive than not, but I'd never want to end an ambiguous story like this with something that doesn't give the reader room to move within and beyond the actual text. I know many people want fanfic to always end happy, but that's not always what's right for the story. And frankly, if I were to write more of *this* story, I'd probably want to write everyone behaving badly while still trying to keep them essentially themselves and thus sympathetic... and that's enough about my exalted process, I think.
I'm glad yesterday's a-squeeing seems to have paid off ;) I am really pleased with this one, so it's especially nice that people are enjoying it.
