I've never been a Superman fan (any other shows, or comics, etc.), so I'm curious if your aversion to a "knock-off" is based on some kind of media canon, or if it's simply more personal (which I could certainly understand). I only know Lois from what people on TWoP or LJ say...and, so far as I can tell, Chloe sounds like Lois, but blonde. Maybe that's why I have no problems with it.

I doubt TPTB would hesitate to mess with a future Clark/Lois reporting pairing. I even like the idea, since it makes Chloe's little love speech in Fever very prophetic.
