That might have helped a bit. Mr. Glove did read the books, but years and years ago, so it was more like he was being reminded as he watched, rather than him knowing what would happen next and why.

Making a movie that would be understood by me would have made zillions of devoted fans of the trilogy bitterly unhappy, so obviously Peter Jackson made the right decisions...I guess I just wondered if there was something really stubbornly wrong with me for not enjoying the films as they are ;)
