Please don't take my answer to your second question (switch to the fic LJ) as an insult or an indication that I don't find you interesting. I originally conceived of my "friends" list as a fic (/vids/art/meta) notification list, and as it has expanded, I've found it more and more difficult to keep up with. There are a number of LJs I wander through when I have time (that aren't on my friends list) because the people are interesting and I like to know what's going on with them, but my friends list is already too much for me at 95. (I boggle at flists of several hundred. Those people must be much more efficient than I am.)
I may have to give up on restricting my flist and just start using reading filters a lot, to keep up with WIPs and such when I don't have time for the whole flist, then go catch up with people when I can. Especially with the prevalence of friends-only journals, which I both sympathize with and regret.
Perhaps, instead of a fic LJ, you could just announce fic on sv_fanfic?
