So I'm going friends-locked after all, and it has nothing to do with fandom. Imagine that! If the situation weren't so annoying, I'd find it rather ironic and amusing. I'm not going to go back and lock things, but future posts will probably be filtered for friends only.

If you use your journal only to read fic and don't post I would suggest that you instead friend my fic-only journal, jedfic, because in the future I am not going to add people to the velvetglove flist who don't post in their own journals at least occasionally.

If you and I are mutually friended, there is no need to add jedfic. It will just be cross-posting of stories that will be posted to velvetglove and also to my website and, in most cases, to the archives. You do not need to friend both, and I'd prefer if you didn't.

Currently, there are a few old stories at jedfic, and eventually I'll get the rest of them up there. I had been planning to have the second journal for fic only anyway; this is just a bit sooner, and under more annoying circumstances, than I had anticipated.

ETA: I'm not defriending anyone after all. All the "dead" journals on my list are people I know to be actual fandom geeks, so they can continue to read or ignore me as they've done all along.

Hi, I am hoping you won't defriend me but as I don't post even occasionally in my own LJ I assume you will, although I don't just read the fic, but you also say that being 'mutually friended' means I don't need to add jedfic! Which should I do?

I read everyone I have friended but I only post finished fic in my live journal. I'm undemanding and very low maintenance. But also very interested. Think of me as the strange girl reading a book in the corner.
