Legacy, story recs
Apr. 15th, 2004 12:25 amLegacy ( I apparently missed the best part )
I missed all of Angel because Mr. Glove committed me to something else without asking. Mr. Glove could stop doing shit like that and I'd appreciate it. Admittedly, it's not like I have a full schedule, but I do have a schedule.
fic rec 1: And have you read
isagel's amazing new WiP, Ray, where we get to meet that Navy SEAL driver who taught Lex a few lessons... And we also have a Brat Prince!Lex who is sufficiently bratty without being a joke; rather, this is a lonely, detached boy who expects the worst that the money cushion can't protect him from. I already spend a great deal of time sitting on my hands not pestering her about Captured; now I have two WiPs that I have to not whine at her about.
fic rec 2: I hadn't realized
rhiannonhero had posted the final version of this...if you haven't read her Queer as Grease freakazoid crossover, you really ought to. It sounds implausible, but it works really, really well. Very funny in parts, very moving in others. I love Emmett-as-Frenchie, and I love Brian as a goth (or, technically, goth wannabe)...the part about the hair dye is brilliant. I still haven't seen S3, but in rewatching the S2 eps as SHO reruns them, I've got to say I still think it's a pretty crappy show, but I actually have come to really enjoy it through reading the way Rhi writes the characters. The link is to Part I; she's posted it as three parts, so be sure to read them all.

NYC questions:
- Bones: Does the Maxilla & Mandible store still exist? Their web site is down, and I'm having trouble finding current references...which makes me think it's gone.
- Comix: I don't see any reason why I can't go to more than one, but would anyone like to recommend "the" store that we should visit for all our comic book needs?
