Notes: Unbetaed. Just a little one to get started. Also, Tsuzuki + Hisoka forever!!!!! You've been warned. (and that one's on its way)

If you don't know the fandom, please refer to boniblithe's wonderful, squeeful overview, starting here. If you are not familiar with YnM, or are not at least willing to concede a prodigious amount of background, I doubt this will make much sense.

Even though I'm pretty sure she's hoping I'll write Tatsumi x Tsuzuki and thus will soon hate me for refusing to do so, this is for boniblithe, because it's her fault I know anything about YnM in the first place ;)

Ever have a day when you realize that everyone is nicer than you?

Carrying on with the theme of everyone being nicer than me, here are some complaints: ( tedious vitriol )

But some good things: Paying $2 each for a dozen CDs is good. Being the target of a hungry butterfly (who drank greedily of ketchup) at a drive-in is good. Compliments from strangers on the gloriousness of my hair are good. Discovering that there apparently aren't already multiple stories using a particular inspiration in my brand-new fandom is very, very good.

ETA: Oh, and in case you haven't seen enough pointers to it already, go read yahtzee63's Joan of Arcadia/Day after Tomorrow crossover thing, Goodnight, Moon. I have never seen JoA, and if I had realized this was a crossover with the disaster flick du jour, I might have passed...but it truly is lovely and the ultimate definition of a certain sort of relationship is quiet genius.

Yes, I said genius. Go read it.
