The only fun was the fact that we were indeed in New Orleans. We also got the pleasure of bonding over what fucktards they'd been after they left, which is always a special couple-y thing to do ;) We are going to have a lot of fun on this upcoming trip, though.

As to being published...well, I've got to finish something first. And January and I are nothing alike in our style or subject matter, so I should stop fretting about her "success." I put it in quotes because her experiences with her first book were sobering to hear about, to say the least. She talked a lot about her first book being remaindered, and even the thought of that fills me with nervous, anticipatory misery, despite the fact that I'd need to be published well before I'd end up on the remainder table.
