I can understand that people get upset and have their feelings hurt when a mod is "mean" to them - I'd be mortified if I ever received the sort of scolding that I hand out - but my reaction would be well towards the apologize-and-promise-to-never-do-it-again end of the spectrum. And then I'd actually apologize and never do it again. Duh.
I wouldn't gather my imaginary posse of ubiquitous ninjas and make junior high-quality threats anonymously, is what I'm saying.
