I like this DVD commentary idea very much. However, when I started to do one for the story that I'm fairly confident most people are interested in, the task started to seem rather daunting...

I really like the commentary idea -- I have a strong drive to write about my writing, I have to really keep my author's notes reined in -- but being new to the fandom and only a few stories out there, and a relatively small friends list, I'm afraid no one would actually respond and then it would crush my very soul.

I'm embarassed to say I haven't much of your stuff yet -- I'm still very much playing catch-up. I hope to remedy that soon. Sounds like I should start with Primary, eh? :)

Primary was a story that seemed to appeal to everyone, very intensely, for a couple of weeks after it was posted, which was very overwhelming and flattering for me. People have told me that it's their favorite SV story, period, so that's great, too. The extent of the story's success was a surprise to me for a number of reasons, including the fact that the plot hinges on an original character. Not only is she an original character, but she's a child, and I hate kids in fic.

If you do read it, I'd be curious to know what you think.

Well, obviously Kyoto Song was my other choice, but Primary is longer, so the commentary will probably also be. And That's a good thing. (Heh. Am I being evil or just plain greedy? Probably both. No, wait. Greedy would be to ask for a commentary *also* about Kyoto. *g*)

Heh. Well, KS is one of my favorites, and so I thought about doing that one...but I know what the popular favorite is, i.e., Primary. I'll probably do both anyway ;)

I was going to say Primary, but...I also really liked Elliott's Blue Eye Shadow and your frottage story that I cannot remember the name to right now.

I just reread Primary recently so that would be my pick.

You chose Primary just to make me read it for the 8,000 time, didn't you?
Gets better every time.

I probably shouldn't have said Imago, because I've only read it once and that was the beta version. And all the questions I meant to ask you about it were promptly forgotten while you had me under your thrall. I'm pretty sure it's even longer than Primary too. Which one is your favorite? I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on any of them, of course. Even The Prize, which I still can't bring myself to read...
