SV Delete *squee!*
Squee! I love my silly show!
Chloe is Lois is Chloe is Lois!!!! I'm one of the group who always assumed she'd have to go down in bloody tatters to Teach Clark A Lesson, but...she's Lois! I sat through the commercials thinking of Lois storylines and beaming...
It's stupid, but at least it's internally consistent: you can try to kill anyone you want in Smallville, as potentially gruesomely as possible, but so long as your friends back you up in saying that it was all a mind-control mistake, you won't even get a ride in a squad car.
I liked the girlfighting. It was hysterical and even a little scary. AM is such a fun actress to watch. I so want to see her in a really good movie, sooner rather than later.
I loved Adam calling Lana on her princessy crap. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to really faze her, but at least he said it. Ian Somerhalder has a really, really crookedy head, and the awful way they've combed his hair doesn't help. It's like how they always shot Emanuelle Vaugier from the side with the larger eye to make it look really huge in comparison. Why do they want to make their pretty people look funny? Why not just use funny-looking people to start with? They're probably a lot cheaper.
I do like Lana with Adam so much more than I've liked her with anyone they've paired her with thus far.
Loved Molly's glasses. She was pretty except the end of her nose, which had about a hundred little fleshy facets, making it hard for me to look at any of the attractive things about her. I loved Lex sort of seducing her while stealing her data. But how would he know what he was looking for? No. I'm not going to ask that after all. It's Smallville!!!! Lex is being sexy! Nothing better than that, at least nothing they'll film and show to me. I do wonder, however, how Clark explained to Lex that he had to leave Molly's (swanky) apartment to hurry home and save Chloe. That's a huge hole in this ep, and it does bug me.
Overall, I loved this ep. Nice surprises, nice character development and growth...and they seem to be willing and able to develop Lex's "evill" in a subtle, realistic way. I am very happy.
Loved Chloe and Clark's interactions. All of them. Love Chloe.
I knew as soon as Chloe and Clark started talking to Lex about Sommerholt that Lex would be making a deal with Dr. Garner. It doesn't seem like a good relationship to base on threats, however, considering that he'll eventually have to allow Dr. G some access to his brain.
ETA: So sorry if I inadvertently spoiled anyone. I screwed up my tags, which only ever seems to happen when it actually matters a little bit. Fixed now. And I'm doing penance.

Things that sway me, however:
They've fucked with a lot of stuff. If they make Adam into Bruce Wayne, as people are hoping, that's a serious twist of Bat canon and Supes canon. Apparently, Claire Foster was supposed to live long enough to be Supes' therapist at some point, which obviously isn't going to happen. So there's no reason to think Lois is sacred. I like Chloe--she's scratchy and abrasive and real, and AM is a great actress--and I do like the idea that she's Lois.
There are implications to the Chloe=Lois idea that really interest me. I was going to try to list them all, but maybe I'll write a story instead ;)

I meant the "no interest in journalism" was a joke with the audience. Like Clark "not [being] the flying type", etc. A cheese anvil, if you will. But I will say this, it's possible Chloe made this cousin up completely, and it's also entirely possible that Chloe will need to go into hiding some time in the near futre with a change of hair, change of name, etc.

egads
Wow, would that f-up any logical comic-canon timeline. Bruce Wayne didn't come back to the United States until he was 26, after spending all his time studying 'batstuff' overseas since he was 14. He picked up Robin when he was 27, and Dick was age 12 (not nine, dammit). At most, Bruce and Lex could've been at the same prep school (but only overseas), with a four year age difference minimum, if Lex and Bruce are able to know each other in the present in SV universe.
And yes, I have given this a lot of thought. It puts Dick and Clark closer to the same age in SV-verse, and it would be much much cooler if Adam was Dick Grayson.
Re: egads
I ran across a reference to Bruce spending 6 weeks in the FBI at age 20 (which is 3 years younger than FBI's lower age limit), but I only saw that once, so I question it. I saw the same age for going overseas--14--but that he came back to be Batman at age 24. Do you have any links you particularly like for Batman info? Because I'm kind of frustrated, to say the least. I think my story timeline will probably stay more or less as-is, but now I just want to know.
Re: egads
I used the DC Comics guide (http://www.dcuguide.com/Who/Batman_Bio.htm) plus information from DK publishers. They have Bruce going overseas at 14, starting in England and moving on from there, eventually ending up in Japan, and returning to the states 12 years later. I've verified the 12 years abroad in several places (like here (http://www.darkknight.ca/heroes/batman.html)), however, I have found his leaving age to be as young as twelve, which gives my information at +/-2. I have a few other sites that I can't get at, at the moment (stupid computer), but will add on to this post once I get them. Re: egads
I tend to think that, if anything, Adam is a reference to Adam West and possibly a jab at whoever nixed the Batman series. I am personally much more excited about Christian Bale playing Batman, and that's the one I picture...

More links!
Connected with the earlier link to the Dark Knight page is more details (http://www.darkknight.ca/faq/comiclist.html) on ages. The person who runs this website probably has the best, most reliable information, because s/he references specific comic books. It's also one of the sites that lists age 14 as the time Bruce heads overseas, and how I calculated my information in my first post.
The DC Universe Calendar (http://members.shaw.ca/TheTimeTrust/calendar.htm)
Bruce's birthday is in Feb or April, depending on if you're using Earth 1 or Earth 2 calendar.
Batman year one (http://www.damianobrigo.it/darknight.htm#year one). Goes with the leaving the US at 12, but is gone for 18 years from Gotham (12 years overseas). However, according to a general review here (http://www.thekeeponline.com/reviews/bmanyr1.html), it is only twelve years that he's gone, but 18 years til he gets his 'revenge.'
This essay (http://www.class.uidaho.edu/narrative/comics/postmodern_batman.htm) concurs with my age 14 leaving, to England, and then onward, but it somewhat contridicts his return time, saying when he was "of age."
and a little Dick Grayson history here (http://www.sequentialtart.com/archive/aug01/art_0801_5.shtml), which throws his age in too.
(I'll have to memory these entries, because I found additional links I hadn't had before)
