spoilery and a little bit whiny

Smallville: So did anything really happen this episode? It wasn't horrible, but we didn't learn anything new, did we? I don't understand why Lana lied to Lex about Adam's "illness." It seems that she would have risked nothing by telling him what she knew.
Also, having worked in medicine for ~20 years, I am always vexed AND amused when people get up and trundle around a day or so after having their chests cracked open.
Angel: I believed it last week when long-time viewers of Joss shows said that Fred was done for after proclaiming love for Wes. I am still trying to stay unspoiled for the end of Buffy (though I think I've failed) so that I can see it when the DVDs come out, but I will be around for the end of Angel. I'm suspecting we'll see a high body count before the bitter end, yes?
My actual life: I'm completely overwhelmed. Admittedly, it is not difficult to get me into such a state. I have too many websites I'm supposed to be doing, too many stories to beta, too many projects I'm working on, and I have a time-limited job-like endeavor (painting friend's house while she's on vacation--yes, I like painting walls) for which I will receive actual cash money. I will need to be doing that over the next 5 days. I am going to continue working on all of the projects I'm supposed to be working on for but I've been offline most of the last few days and will be scarce for a few more. I'm only hiding a little bit, and only because I'm panicking.
I will be doing the betas tonight/tomorrow.
I owe e-mails to several people, at least one of whom may not realize she's getting e-mail from me.
Some day I will answer all the e-mails and comments I should answer, and I'll give myself a gold star.
princess_bunny, e-mail me your address. Oh, and you, too,
emelerin.

Date: 2004-02-25 08:36 pm (UTC)They're doing a little better- at least this time, the doctors actually waited until they were sure Vince's heart had stopped beating to load him up with the epi, whereas they just ordered it for Helen when she was merely battered.
I'm sorry you're overwhelmed; if there's anything I can do, please let me know! *hugs*

Date: 2004-02-26 03:06 pm (UTC)Take it easy, love. Go paint the house and have fun with it (Why am I not surprised that you like painting walls? *g*), and don't fret too much about the fannish things. It's a hobby, you know, and though we're all familiar with the desire to have betas and such back instantaneously, there really is no rush. People will still love you if you take a bit longer than you'd like.
