touching evil

Well, I'm missing lots of this due to having to feed my zillion pets, but I love the leads--there's clearly going to be significant UST between them. Even more than there is now, I mean. And the guy is so funny. And he looks like the boy version of my ex-girlfriend. Same eyes. Because, you know, that's the important part.

I always thought Robson Green, who played the lead in the original British version, was sex on a stick, so I'm expecting to be disappointed in this American guy, if the show ever makes it to a channel near me. Though, true to form, the character I could really see myself doing was the poor, cute cop who had a massive inferiority complex and ended up self-destructively conflicted. Touching Evil hit me so freaking hard when I saw it the first time, and I'm very much sitting on the fence re: the US version, because I can't imagine it being that good. It's welcome to prove me wrong, though. :)

I've never seen any of the original. It's not clear to me if it aired here, even. Having seen the US pilot twice now (sort of--I kept missing the same parts), I'm not really sure I liked the story resolution, but I loved the lead characters. They had a very Mulder/Scully vibe without being clones of those characters. She's less uptight, and he's more...uninhibited. So, while I have my reservations about the crime-solving (which might be due to missing key scenes?), I loved the people. I'll definitely watch it again.

USA is repeating the ep. So maybe this time I can see the entire show. But was that Peter Wingfield (Methos,)and did he do more than just sit in a conference room with nothing to say?

Heh. Yeah, it was PW, and he didn't do much more than that. He did speak up in one later conference scene, he struggled with the lead cop guy at one point, and I think he hollered a couple of lines. He didn't make much of an impression, I'm sad to say.
