Do you have a website with some Smallville content but no link button? Do you want a link button? Can I make you one?*

My personal mission is to eradicate all text links on my links page. It probably won't happen, but I am hoping I can at least reduce their numbers.

I am inching up on the rest of the [livejournal.com profile] crack_van covers with these baby steps. I've felt so flat artistically for months and I didn't want to give anyone a crap cover just to get it out of the way. Just making a few buttons has given me a little spark back and I want to keep the momentum.

*It's free! And because it's free, you're not allowed to be picky-picky about it, though you can certainly suggest something you'd like. And when I'm done, you can do whatever you want with it, including ignoring it or printing it up on T-shirts. But I'm going to link to you with it.

It helps so very much when you get the link right the first time!

Because of the typeface you've used, it isn't readable at a smaller size, but it works well enough at this resolution, I think. I'm pretty sure that's a typeface I have, but I can't think of what it's called. Do you know the name?

I have a smallville fanfic page and no clue how to make a button. I'd be thrilled and grateful to have one. *g*

Do you need the URL?

I stole the images and color ideas from Aly's lovely cover for Late Night Phone Calls.

I hope you like it ;)

I love it! It's gorgeous! Thanks!

Could I use it on my LJ user info page? Would I need coding for it?

I tried to make one for my site but it turned out not great. So a link button would be fabulous since you are offering. Thank you. :)

How's this?

Like with some others I'm making today, I don't like the way this one reads (or, rather, doesn't) when it's smaller, so just the one size for yours ;)

Okay, since you asked, and I'll try anything once:

I'm not that excited about it, so if you want, you can make a different one for me. This was just a quick attempt to appease you. *g*

Well, I rather like it. Consider me appeased--my bloodlust is slaked for the time being. However, as I seem to enjoy fangirling you, I may take a stab at a jed version later on.

Hell, I'll MAKE a site to be able to link to ya.
*giggle*

Perhaps that would kick my ass into writing some more SV, seeing how one small ficlet really can't be called worthy of a whole site...

Hee! Write more! Build a site! And then we can blissfully link *birds twitter*

That would be really sweet! Thank you! I'd use it for this page, if that gives you an idea for text. It's SV-heavy, but not exclusive. (Wow... A button...)

You definitely win the prize for best site name and coolest quote! I hope you like the button it inspired:

Oooh! I lurve it! I'll have to play with it to see if it looks okay at 35x100 (I'm assuming it will, more or less). Thank you VERY much!

Okey-doke:

With my personal pill preoccupation, this was what I immediately thought of. I hope it's entertaining, at any rate ;)

And are you liking Front Page? Because I thought it was maddening and sucktastic. Have you ever tried Dreamweaver? Would you want to? hint, hint

From: [identity profile] svmadelyn.livejournal.com
Ahhhhhh! That is the coolest thing! You even gave them purple and green pills! *chokes* Thank you so, so much! *muchly amused*

And--Front Page came with my Windows XP package. I did not know how to use it, so I just--toyed. A lot. Am still toying, actually, and feeling vaguely impressed with myself that I actually *have* a fiction page, and generally ignoring such mundane things as aesthetics at this point. I have never tried Dreamweaver but I would definitely be game (especially if it dumbs things down for the technically....inept people like yours truly).

Hint, hint. *cough*

I don't know that Dreamweaver is any easier, per se, but it is more intuitive (IMO) if only because it doesn't do things "for" you that are difficult to undo or to figure out. I found that Front Page kept helpfully organizing things/making changes that I didn't want made and forced a certain type of file structure that wasn't what I liked. Dreamweaver's site structure made better sense to me, but it's also easy to make your own changes and be able to understand what you've done. I'm going to get back to you later on trying it out (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). I got nowhere but frustrated with Front Page--I'm very anti FP, pro DW, obviously, and I want everyone to belong to my software cult ;)

Where do I even begin? As far as buttons go, someone actually made this button for Existential Heroes (I just need to get my ass around to posting it):

But if you'd like to make another button for the site that would be lovely - anything to feed the artistic flame. *g* Thanks for offering - you're the best.

I mean seriously! YOU ARE. I just got a chance to check out the CDs you sent and *squee* I knew I was going to love Landscape (how can you go wrong with Sigur Ros and Air?), but Crystallized Ginger is tres fabulous. Haven't had the chance to listen to the Indian mix yet, but I'm sure I'll adore that as well. Thanks again. It was such a wonderful surprise to get something like that in the mail (esp. since I've kinda been out of the fannish loop) - I really appreciate the time and effort it took to create I don't know how many CDs. *happy*

And I'm early by a day, but Happy Birthday! *toots horn* *sings loudly and offkey*

You're so sweet! Wanna make one for me? *bats eyelashes*

I'm here. It's a bare bones site. Got no pictures at all. I'm in the process of modifying it, though - I'm changing all the backgrounds to that pretty light blue/lilac colour, and the font to Garamond. Go me. Heh.

Hey, I'm never one to turn down free pretties from the likes of Ms. Glove. Ilexaland. Techinically it's still Ilexa's House of Porn and Farmboys, but there shall be changes afoot. *nods* Yes. Afoot.

Ooh, I would love a button. My site is kind of sad and boring, but here it is (http://www3.telus.net/lifeonhiatus). You're amazing for doing this! *mwah*

BTW, thanks for the beta of "Roots and Wings" ... Once I get this insane WiP I'm doing wrapped up I will give your comments due attention and hopefully get the fic posted fairly soon. Sorry for the delay!!!

I missed this post, and then saw lots of people thanking you for all these wonderful buttons you've made for them, and became terribly envious. If you are still offering, I would be very grateful to have a button made by you. I am not at all picky, and my website can be found at www.mlleelizabeth.com. Though I am appallingly behind in updating, it does contain SV content, both fan fiction and graphics of a sort. Thank you for offering to do this, and if you are "buttoned out," I completely understand.
