(ETA: The NY Burlesque Festival night during which Kicky will perform is Friday night, not Saturday, so, the 14th. Otherwise, all the info is correct. I'm so flustered by this trip!)Also, I will be heading over to see my friend Kicky (in the sequin costume I made for her!!!!) perform in the New York Burlesque Festival at the Pussycat Lounge (96 Greenwich Street) sometime before 1:00 AM (which is approximately when she goes on). This is a two-night event, but this first night is only $10, so I hope I can entice some others to come watch the nearly-naked ladies act all sexy and teasy. If you've never been to a burlesque show, please note that it is very different than a strip show. It's not sleazy, draws a mixed crowd, and provides an opportunity for you to scream a lot without alarming anyone.

Before I leave for New York next Friday, I must:

find a decent suitcase

lose 20 lb.

see if I can get Kicky to do something extra-glorious to my hair

inherit some money

find jeans that I like that also fit me

develop a more sparkling personality

finish this stupid anime porn story

Funny, all your "to do" things apply to me too, apart from hair-by-Kicky and the anime porn. I'll go see the naked ladies if I can persuade my travel companions to come too - I don't want to ditch them two nights in a row.

Actually, my bulb was glowing exceptionally dim yesterday...the Kicky thing is Friday night, not Saturday. There's more burlesque Saturday night, but I'm not even sure I'm going...So if that makes any difference, it would be fabulous if you'd come along!

I'm hoping this apartment comes with two sets of keys, so we don't all have to trail around in a bunch all the time, for that is what causes holiday rows. Bad enough that our cell phones won't work in the US.

If i do come to the burlesque i'll need to bring my notebook because my friend wants me to write it up for his website.

I want to go! I also really want you to come to town tomorrow and watch QaF with me. But I suppose it's kinda short notice and you're busy. Not to mention Mr. Rhi would probably like to spend some time with me since I just got back in town. I love him. He's a good boy.

I'd rather watch QaF with you...it really doesn't enthrall me without your radiant presence on the couch beside me, though I do watch and enjoy. And, so far as QaF goes, it really only shines for me through your reinterpretations. And I did love that mojokitten story you recced but otherwise...meh.
