hair & nose / China! / biker chick / cartoon dick on offer
vanity post: I think my hair is better than average. No news to anyone, right? I find it glorious. I had it done today, and even though the new orange streaks don't show, just know they are there. I realized after I put the photos together that it looks like it's barely below shoulder length, but that's just the front layers. It's actually down to the middle of my back.

And, you know, my nose does look a lot bigger than it is in photos, so maybe Mr. Glove is half-right. But I like big noses, so I guess I'm okay with that.
So, while I was taking photos, I had the Olympics on and I was distracted from my vanity efforts by the Chinese tae kwon do featherweight guy. Tiny, scrawny guy (with a big nose!), who kicked ass on the Mexican guy, all the while making scary, high-pitched shrieks like a sort of white-clad, heavily-padded bat. I thought he was oddly hot. The gold-medal female diver on the 3m springboard was gorgeous and Chinese. And I am rooting for the Cute Chinese Guy in the 110M hurdles. I also thought the Chinese female gymnasts were the most graceful. Now, it's not as though I'm not finding athletes of all nations extra-hot, but the list seems to be heavy on the Chinese.
This means nothing, I know. But, yay! China anyway.
go, me! Did a 10-mile ride this evening with an average speed of 15 mph, which is really great considering where I am with getting in regular rides. I hadn't ridden in over a week, so I was expecting to struggle through this one, but instead I was willful and pushed hard and worked on cadence and breathing and relaxing my shoulders and felt very accomplished at the end of it. When I last rode frequently, I could do a 20-mile ride in just barely over an hour with this bike, but I had plateaued at that speed. Mr. Glove agrees that I need a lighter, more appropriate bike instead of the heavy mountain bike I ride, though actually the extra weight is good for me to have to haul along at this point anway. Now that I'm riding again, I need to do yoga again, too. And with the weight loss, it's easier to achieve many yoga positions because my flesh isn't in my way.
Ai no Kusabi: If you're interested in downloading the vids, let me know and I'll add you to a filter. I've had them uploaded for months, apparently, and forgot all about it.
