beta? sooner rather than later?

In the next hour or so, I'm going to need a beta for my 101 Nights Clex story. It's going to be NC-17, of course. I'm worried that my usual betas will balk at the short notice (as in, I just notified them), and I'm wondering if anyone else will be up, around, and interested. Also, of course, familiar with betaing. I prefer specifics rather than impressions. And, in this case, I require near-instantaneous turn-around.

Short, smutty, Clex. Any takers?

I have to stop with the last-minute stuff. Including the last-minute starting over.

I will definitely take you up on that! However, at this point, I am now starting on version #3, having rejected the first do-over as too depressing and contrary to the spirit of the entire 101 Nights project, so I'm anticipating I probably won't be done for at least another hour, probably two. So, I'll send it, but please don't stay up waiting for it ;) If I manage to find people awake, I'll be grateful, but I certainly don't expect anyone to follow my ludicrous, panic-driven schedule.

Sounds good. Send it whenever. If I'm not up to read and beta then, I will be later. (I think I'm part cat, and that's not because of the "what kind of cat" would you be" quiz that's been all over LJ today.)

I was randomly assigned my birthday as the due date for my 101 fic. That might ensure I don't forget about it entirely until the night before it's due.

Oh, I'm taking it as an omen that when I got your response I had just channel flipped to The Food Network, and "The Secret History of Pie." Clark works in mysterious ways.
