As part of a longer, more complicated narrative, I dreamed that I was reading a series of books that were licensed novelizations of Lady Gaga's (purported) life, each packaged with accessories and props related to the story--masks, champagne glasses, ribbons, etc. One story had her going up against some sort of international spies and being captured, whereupon she was "sexually tormented" by her captors, That book came with a vibrator so that the reader could also experience sexual torment--or, you know, sexual whatever.
It was at that point that I woke up. I'm not particularly a fan of Lady Gaga, but now that the idea is in my head, I'm very disappointed that there isn't actually a series of accessorized Lady Gaga adventure books. It seems sort of perfect for her.

Date: 2010-12-31 05:50 pm (UTC)I was just having a conversation with a friend the other day about how I do not get some of the celebrities who show up in my dreams...people I wouldn't consciously say I have any attachment to but obviously something about them is hooked into my subconscious.
This also reminds me that I once had a dream that yr velvetglove persona was putting on an art show (I don't think I've commented this before, if I have, apologies for the repetition) - the work was a combination of installation art and a Joseph Cornell box, all left in nature's hands...so it was someone's room, maybe the studio of a collage artist, lots of intriguing bits and pieces lying about, with ivy and vines growing over the walls and furniture, and the viewer couldn't go inside to see it, there was only one smudged window to peer at all the treasures inside. It was a beautiful image!

I certainly don't dislike Gaga, but she doesn't really qualify...and yet, if I was determined to dream about a sort of fabulous marketing gimmick, I suppose she's the best possible choice.
