NYC trip in May

Okey-doke. I'm booked. I'm flying on Southwest into Islip/Long Island on Friday, 05/14. I have the entire day to get myself to whatever hotel that
shaggirl and I end up staying at, and then I'm going to see Kicky La Rue do her hootchie-cootchie thing at 1:30 AM at the Pussycat Lounge (heh. It looks sleazy!), which is my only set-in-stone plan. In any case, I don't leave until the late afternoon of the 18th (Tuesday), so I have lots of time open to meet with people, see museums, eat, etc.
I'd love it if there'd be some way for all us weary travelers (myself,
shaggirl,
msdaccxx and
koimistress being just the out-of-towners I know of) and the locals to get together for drinks, perhaps Saturday evening? I hope that someone in NYC would be willing to help coordinate this (hint, hint
kstanley?
nerodi?, anybody?)
I want to see the Met, the Guggenheim, and MoMA, though I realize I might not get to see everything, or at least not in as much detail as I'd like. I don't care about Broadway shows or sightseeing tours or anything too official for this trip. I have neither the money nor the interest for "big name" restaurants. I like to get up whenever I get up, do whatever I feel like doing during daylight hours, and make firm plans only for the evening hours, i.e., food, drinks, dancing, go-go boys. I'm looking for the absolutely funnest, most lurid gay club options, so any suggestions in this vein are highly appreciated. Also, if anyone would like to do the museums/clubs/eating, etc. with me/us, I'd welcome the company.
And what kind of weather should a traveler expect in mid-May? I have found on most other trips I've taken in the last few years that I usually wear the same outfit or two the entire time I'm in a new place, so I'm not planning on bringing much if I don't have to.

I'll email you as soon as I get back. This will be fun! Yippee!
