Listened to the news (NPR) for the first time in years today. My hand shot out to hit the power button when GWB spoke, but I made myself listen. It was a useless sound bite without serious content. He was talking about Canada (which he almost pronounced "Canadia") being our friend. He manages only to sound like a bully, not a pal.
Despite my inability to deal with clutter in the real world, I have spent several intensely satisfying hours combing through .mp3s and applying my preferred naming conventions to the files at the deepest possible level of user control. There's just something so right about a tidy Winamp library list... The rain is brutal today, water coming down in sheets for hours instead of the usual minutes. I'm stalling on going outside, but I'm out of food, except for mashed potatoes and Tofutti Cuties. This post is part of that stalling. Now I'm going to go find out how long I can extend the act of brushing my teeth...
